Grace Carylon has just won the prestigious National Red Rooster Crew Member of the Year Award.
Red Rooster Crew Member of the Year, Grace Carylon, with Nick Keenan (Red Rooster CEO) and Brett Houldin (Craveable Brands CEO)
This young Aussie Legend from Victoria’s Heidelberg Heights is kicking serious goals in her career.
Grace is an ambitious and dedicated young woman. At the young age of 25, she has already made an incredible impact on her local community, her workplace and the Red Rooster brand.
For her achievements, enthusiasm and inspirational ideas, Grace was selected as the VIC then National winner. She was elected from all 8,200+ crew members across Australia. A truly outstanding achievement for someone who started with Fairfield and Richmond Red Rooster at the young age of 21.
Grace is a reliable and dedicated shift supervisor who has always made herself available for shifts at Fairfield Red Rooster. With an ambition to improve her knowledge and skills as well as those of her peers, Grace has been a coach and mentor to numerous young staff. They have all benefited both professionally and personally from her insights and support.
Grace went above and beyond. She has been recognised for always striving to improve store operations, the customer experience and staff engagement. In her 4+ years working for this iconic Aussie brand, Grace has embodied all the values we hold dear and expect from our people. She has made an enormous impression on everyone who she meets – including our CEO, Nick Keenan and Group CEO Brett Houldin.
Red Rooster Crew Member of the Year Award
Red Rooster has been an iconic brand for over 45 years (100$ Aussie owned and operated) – and it is Red Rooster’s people, like Grace, that make the brand so great. The brand started in WA in 1972. There are currently 76 restaurants and around 50 franchise partners in VIC alone.
As part of their nomination in the Crew Member of the Year Awards, nominees (including Grace) were flown to Sydney, put up in luxury accommodation. They were shown the sights and participated in a jam-packed schedule of activities – both social and developmental. This included mentoring sessions, team building activities, a special BBQ lunch at head office, a Harbour Bridge climb and an awards dinner at Mejico restaurant in Sydney.
As a State Winner and National nominee Grace received $500, a trophy and a certificate. And… as a National Winner she also took home $2000! Her time in Sydney with the Red Rooster crew has given her lots to think about. She is even more keen to make Red Rooster her permanent career. Our winner loves the welcoming nature of the brand and how inclusive and supportive they have always been. She especially credits the support and guidance of her franchise partner Swetha Raavi for her success.
We think Grace’s achievements should be celebrated. Not only she is an ambitious and hard working young member of the local community… She is an inspiration to her coworkers and many of the other young people in the area. She is making a difference and kicking goals. Grace is always placing the needs of her customers and the community above her own. We believe she is going to go far in life!
