David believes that he is a great karaoke singer, however that is yet to be confirmed by anyone else! What has been proven is that no one deserved this promotion like him.

From Western Australia & Northern Territory Business Consultant to State Manager for those regions.

David is a great leader who for the last 4 years has been working on building strong relationships with each and every Franchise Partner, and working with them to ensure that their business is the best it can be.

Introducing David DeGasperis – Red Rooster WA/NT State Manager

In his recent years at Red Rooster, David has achieved WA/NT Business Consultant (BC) of the year, Craveable BC of the Year, Secondment position as Acting State Manager NSW/ACT and recently has led our corporate restaurants nationally whilst being promoted to a Senior Business Consultant.

So… recognition and promotion were well deserved!


Here, David talks about this new chapter in his career and how is to work for an iconic Australian brand like Red Rooster…

Congratulations on your promotion!! How does it feel?

I am really excited to have been given the opportunity to lead the WA/NT network, but also understand that it comes with much responsibility and expectation. There are a lot of exciting things coming up in the business and I am really excited to be a part of it with my team.

What’s been a particular challenge you’ve faced as a Red Rooster BC?

As with any business, there are always challenges. I would say that one of the biggest challenges that any business faces is how to grow sales when there is an economic downturn. This is where it becomes crucial that we are delivering our customers exceptional quality product, service and image, so that they become advocates for our brand.


What do you think has been the secret of your successful promotion?

I don’t think that there is any secret, except to remember that our Franchise Partners have invested a lot of money into their businesses and rely on their business to feed their families.

I think it is really important to build strong relationships with each and every franchise partner and work with them to ensure that their business is the best it can be. We should always be looking at how we can continue to improve.

Do you remember the first time you had Red Rooster?

Back when I was a kid, Red Rooster used to be family treat, usually on a Friday night we would get chicken and chips and eat it as a family.


What inspired you to join Red Rooster?

After working in corporate organisations for most of my career, I was drawn to the fact that at Red Rooster, what I do could actually make a difference to the livelihood of the business owners I worked with. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing one of my Franchise Partners succeed in their business.


What do you like the most about being part of Red Rooster?

It’s definitely the fact that the work we do with our Franchise Partners directly helps their business be more successful, which in turn helps them become more profitable and engaged in the business.


What makes Red Rooster special compare working for any other company?

The fact that, whilst Red Rooster and Craveable Brands are big businesses, you certainly don’t feel like you are just a number. Our CEO Nick and many of our leadership team from the RSC often proactively reach out to the operations teams and FPs, and that they have an open door policy for anyone within the business  – this creates a great culture.


Where do you see Red Rooster in the next 5 years?

The next 5 years will see some really exciting times in the brand. With the leadership of Nick and his plans for the business and our menu, I believe Red Rooster will be Australia’s number 1 Chicken QSR.
