Someone in our Franchise Team will be in contact. They’ll organise a time with you for an initial interview where you can get to know us, and vice versa. Then it’s time to complete your detailed application form and if accepted, it’s time to look at financing.
SIGN CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
Once your details are confirmed, we will send you a Confidentiality Agreement to sign electronically. Please note that this is a legal requirement to allow us to discuss and share financial information.
When we receive your completed forms our Franchise Manager will call to discuss what you are looking for and arrange a meeting. The next steps include; a day in store; reference & asset checks; finance pre-approval as well as you create a business plan and cash flow projection for your desired store.
MEET THE TEAM
An interview with the State Manager and the CEO will be arranged. This is a great opportunity to present your plans and hear about the future plans of the brand.
With approval from the CEO you’re ready to register for our eleven-week training program.
FRANCHISE INDUCTION TRAINING
To ensure you understand our systems and processes and that you are fully equipped to open your Red Rooster restaurant you are required to undertake our 11-week training course which is a combination of classroom and in store training.
Fully trained with an amazing business plan you are officially a Red Rooster Franchisee and have the keys to your business. Our team of experts will always be by your side assisting and guiding you in your business.

What type of person do I need to be to buy a franchise?

Absolutely! You already know how businesses work, and you’ve run one without the support network you get from being a franchise owner. Although you don’t need a business background to buy a Red Rooster franchise, previous business acumen is definitely a bonus!. We do recommend making your restaurant your top priority though. Franchises just work better when their Franchise Partners are present.
What can I expect from buying a franchise?
Expect all the excitement of owning your own business without the wasted time and money that can come with being inexperienced. Trial and error is a huge part of setting up most businesses. If you buy into a Red Rooster franchise though, we’ve already tried and tested the processes and procedures – and proven that they work.
Can I buy an existing Red Rooster franchise?
Yes. If you’ve set your sights on an existing restaurant, the first step is to negotiate a price with the Franchise Partner. Once you’ve agreed on the financials you will need to go through the same process as buying new. Yes, you will need to be interviewed by our franchise team, go through all due diligence, interviews with the State Manager and CEO and when approved enter our Franchise Induction Program. You also need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to be the owner of a business in Australia.
It doesn’t get much easier than this option. Your staff training is ready and waiting for your new recruits, with a reputable brand comes customers but there is always room for more, and the whole process can be seamless.
Buying an existing store is also a great opportunity to analyse past performance so you can identify how to take it to a new level of success.
Can I build a Red Rooster in a new location?
Yes. The process for buying a new store is similar to that of buying an existing Red Rooster franchise. You still need to go through the full interview process, and you also have to find a location and fund the fit-out.
Our team will be right there to help you through these steps though. Our Craveable Brands structure gives you access to a team of property specialists who’ll help you to find a location and determine its viability. They’ll also help you with any negotiations that need to happen.
You’ll pay the same set of training, admin and document creation, and new franchise agreement fees as any other Franchise Partner. However, there’ll also be additional fit-out costs: usually between $350,000-$700,000 (plus GST) depending on which store format you choose.
Our team will manage the build while you go through your induction and training. Then all you have to do is turn the key on your new restaurant.
